One of my favorite strategies for content sharing has always been “Link Baiting” this means writing an article title that is eye-catching, entertaining and persuasive that people will take action to share it. When they click to read your article they will be more likely to share it on their website, or social media followers, or on forums.
This strategy has been around before the existence of social media marketing and even before the word “Influencer” came to being (Influence someone or followers to take action). Most people always having the thought that having a big network of contacts on social media sites is enough to ensure that their content will go viral. The strategy most of them indulge is to simply develop a large number of “followers” or “friends” and share whatever they create and hope for the best.

The problem is that not everything is well suited for viral sharing, like the link baiting articles that SEO gurus use, a good strategy would be to devise an article that will be more likely to be shared. Below are two tips on how to accomplish that.

For someone to share your article they first need to read it, and the only weapon you have at your disposal as far as that’s concerned is the strength of your title. You should make your title a “Title Descriptive” of your article so that people know what it’s going to be about, to make it engaging in some way (again by making it emotional, or by asking a question or making a statement) and to use hyperbole (the ‘ultimate’ list, not ‘a very good’ list, “How To”). You can use tools such as Coschedule Headline Analyzer to analyze your article title.
